Palm Springs Resorts & Boutique Hotels
Dive into the glamour of Palm Springs with a stay at one of the iconic resorts. All of these hotels offer poolsides lined with cabanas and chic lounges, perfect for soaking up the sun and enjoying the vibrant atmosphere. Here is a list of my favorite boutique hotels that flawlessly capture the essence of Palm Springs glamour.
- Ace Hotel – this is where the cool kids hang out
- The Saguaro Palm Springs – the rainbow-coloured hotel is sure to put a smile on your face
- The Parker – The most beautiful hotel with flawless decor. Prices reflect the luxury experience
- Les Cactus – A pretty property that includes breakfast, bike rentals and pool access with your stay.
- Azure Sky Hotel – An Adults Only hotel, if you are looking for some R&R
VRBO & Bed and Breakfasts

Where to Eat in Palm Springs for Brunch
Ernest Coffee
Ernest Coffee in Palm Springs offers an exceptional cafe experience. You’ll love its unique blend of ambiance, quality brews, and friendly atmosphere. Nestled in the heart of downtown Palm Springs, Ernest Coffee exudes a chic yet inviting vibe, making it the perfect spot for locals and travelers alike to unwind and savor a delicious cup of coffee. Boasting a diverse menu of meticulously crafted espresso beverages, signature pour-overs, and artisanal pastries, Ernest Coffee promises a delightful culinary journey for every palate.
Whether seeking a morning pick-me-up, a leisurely afternoon escape, or a place to ignite creativity, Ernest Coffee beckons with its warm hospitality and unparalleled charm, making it a must-visit destination for coffee aficionados and adventurers alike.
ACE Hotel
If you have stayed at any of the other ACE Hotel properties (ie. Portland, LA, etc.) you know this is where the cool kids hang out, and Palm Springs is no exception. Although we didn’t stay here, we stopped by for brunch at Kings Highway, which has a great diner feel, and serves up a delicious breakfast burrito & date shake at reasonable prices.
After brunch, make sure to take some fun photos in the old school photo booth (by the bathrooms); I now use these cute photos as my bookmark. They also have a beautiful pool with an outdoor patio, where you can go swim and relax if you order food and drinks – you don’t even need to be staying at the hotel!
Lastly, if you are looking for something fun to do, this hotel had a schedule of nightly events, including Bingo, Comedy night, and Taco Tuesday, if you are looking for some more casual nightlife.
The Parker Palm Springs
A swanky mid-century hotel that you have most likely seen on Pinterest or Instagram. The décor is to die for, and the vibe is retro-glam. The Parker was out of our price range, but we were able to enjoy a piece of it by dining at Norma’s. The food and service were terrific, but I’ll be super honest, the prices were very expensive. If you want to see the hotel interiors and snap some pictures, it’s worth it! But perhaps skip the mimosa and just order coffee and your main.
Tip: I highly recommend making a reservation versus just showing up. This is a popular spot!
Where to Eat in Palm Springs for Lunch & Dinner
Saguaro
The happiest hotel on earth! Well, other than Disneyland hotel, but the rainbow-coloured hotel is sure to put a smile on your face. This hotel has also been on my radar, and I was so happy to find out we could go have a drink by the pool without being a guest. Just walk through the main doors, turn left, walk down the ramp, and exit the door to get out to the pool.
Order a watermelon margarita at the pool bar, and thank me later! Make sure to snap some photos of this photogenic hotel. Also, if you are going in the summer, this hotel apparently throws incredible pool parties, which draws in hundreds of people. This would be perfect for a bachelorette or girls weekend away! Not sure when these start, but I assume a cover charge would apply.
Saguaro Drag Brunch
Indulge in the award-winning Palm Springs Drag Brunch at The Saguaro Hotel! Here you’ll be treated to a sumptuous 3-course menu served at your private table alongside Bottomless Mimosas, Unlimited Champagne, and soft drinks. Experience the pinnacle of drag entertainment with a cast featuring Emmy Winners, nationally touring artists, and local celebrities, captivating audiences with stunning costumes, mesmerizing dance routines, flawless makeup, and precise lip-sync performances.
Renowned for its 5-star reviews and hailed as a must-do in Palm Springs, guests consistently describe the show as “amazing” and “the best drag show they’ve ever seen.” Don’t miss your chance to capture unforgettable moments with the cast and make memories to cherish from your magical trip to Palm Springs.
In-N-Out Burger
When considering where to eat in Palm Springs, international travelers shouldn’t miss adding the iconic In-N-Out Burger to their list. Although, it isn’t gourmet, or expensive, this fast food joint is famous in California. If you go, make sure to try the ‘animal fries’ – fries topped with their famous thousand island sauce. Also, a milkshake, and burger of your liking! Make sure to snap a picture – this is definitely an Instagram worthy shot!
Lavender Bistro
Best enjoyed at night on their patio lined with twinkle lights. We went on Saturday night and we’re excited to see they had live music outside. Make sure to make a reservation for their back patio, as it is their claim to fame! They even have bigger booths for large groups.
Tommy Bahamas
Being Canadian, I was very confused to why my mother wanted to take us to Tommy Bahamas to eat. But in the States these clothing stores have attached restaurants that are just as beautiful as they are delicious. They are famous for their amazing happy hours, that serve discounted drinks and half price appies! I definitely recommend trying their coconut shrimp & flip-flop lemon drop martini!
Las Casuelas
Following the Thursday night street fair, we ate at this delicious Mexican restaurant right off the main road in Palm Springs. If possible, try to get a table outside on the ‘Palapa patio’, as most nights they play live Spanish music and people get up and dance. If you are looking for a more romantic evening, they also have a quieter patio with a fountain.
Where to Enjoy a Drink in Palm Springs
The Nest
Palm Springs is known to be a destination for seniors and retirees, and The Nest is where they go to party! Now you may be wondering why the hell I would recommend a bar filled with 50 year old cougars. But guys, it’s actually a hopping spot and a lot of fun! Expect to sing and dance the night away to classic oldies! But be sure to get there before 10:30 pm, as that’s when the line-up really starts.
The Casablanca Lounge at Melyvn’s
Looking for the best Martinis in town? Shaken or stirred, sweet or savory, dirty or neat, all can be found at Melvin’s. They also serve up snacks and food, but what drew us there was the live music! Every Sunday from 3:30-7: 30 pm they have guest performers come and play sweet sweet jazz. Rumour has it, that Frank Sinatra used to come here to sing back in the day.
- Note: this bar draws in an older crowd. So don’t be surprised if some sweet 80-year-old man asks you to dance. However, even with the older crowd, this place has classicly cool Palm Springs written all over it. It is definitely worth a visit!
- Foodie tip: Order the popcorn flavour of the day! For those that know me, I have an addiction to popcorn. And this was some of the best popcorn I’ve ever had! By the end of the night, we had ordered 4 bowls of their truffle popcorn, and I swear I didn’t eat it all myself!
Draughtsman
My brothers love craft beer, which is how we found Draughtsman, a hip brew house in old Palm Springs. Although Draughtsman doesn’t brew their own beer, they do have an extensive beer list. They also have great food, a beautiful space, and awesome patio would be lovely on a sunny day. Although I’m not a huge beer fan, I always enjoy tasting a couple of beers by ordering a flight. If you aren’t familiar with flights, think of it as a small sampler of 4-6 beers. After trying a variety of beers, all of us agreed the Watermelon Wheat beer was our favourite – yum!
Conclusion
Overall, when considering where to eat in Palm Springs, one is spoiled for choice amidst a vibrant culinary landscape that reflects the city’s diverse culture and unique charm. From upscale restaurants to cozy cafes, Palm Springs offers a delightful array of dining experiences to suit every taste and occasion. With its fusion of local flavors and international influences, exploring the dining scene becomes an adventure in itself, promising memorable moments and gastronomic delights at every turn. So, whether indulging in iconic California cuisine or sampling global fare, Palm Springs invites visitors to embark on a culinary journey that celebrates the essence of this desert oasis.
