My New Monthly Series
Even though my number one passion is travel, there are so many other things that inspire me on the day to day. I started this blog to share all the things that bring bliss into my life, in hopes they would bring more bliss to yours. With this being said, I am excited to start a new monthly series, my Bliss List, where I will share anything that has brought me happiness, wellness, bliss, and inspiration. This might be the form of a book, app, beauty product, a blog post I’ve read, a podcast I’ve listened to, or a recipe I’ve tried. Think of it like Oprah’s favourite things, except not everything is a material item and unfortunately, I can’t gift you everything…maybe one day. 😉 I hope you enjoy this new series I’m bringing to A Blissful Wanderer (ABW), and that it brings bliss into your upcoming month.
Moving forward I think it makes more sense to share this series at the end of each month, but since I am so excited to get it started, I don’t want to wait! My summer Bliss List includes everything that inspired me in both July and August. Enjoy!
My Summer Bliss List
- This adorable Ciao Bella t-shirt was perfect for my recent trip to Italy! Hey, if you can’t speak Italian, at least let your t-shirt speak for you! 😉 I also love that it is a local Vancouver brand (my hometown). You can see me wearing it in the two Sicily photos above.
- This guided meditation focused on feeling worthy. I try to do it once per week before working on my blog! I find it helps me focus and lifts my energy to feel super positive. (To find it, click the link to @Yessupply’s Instagram and find it on her IG TV.)
- A blog post on Practicing Self-Love, something a lot of us can work on, including me.
- Fika: a Swedish Tradition that I want to take back home. It is a moment where friends or co-workers take a time out of the day to slow down and enjoy a coffee (or tea) with cinnamon buns or other pastries. Extra important during the long cold winters, where social interaction and community is so important for everyone’s happiness. (Read more about it at the link)
- Hannah Gadsby’s ‘Nanette’ stand-up show on Netflix. Funny and incredibly eye-opening.
- This self-development book (also available as an audiobook on Audible)
- My go-to summer song right now
- The perfume I put on every time I walk through an airport’s duty-free store. (It’s getting to the point where I should really just buy it. Haha)
- Cream cheese on toast – random I know, but seriously try it (traditionally eaten for breakfast in Sweden).
- The blog post on 12 Ways to be More Productive
- Some of my favourite recipes are ones that you can eat out of a bowl (ie. salads, smoothie bowls, pasta, quinoa bowls, etc). So imagine my excitement when I discovered this beautiful vegetarian cookbook. I’ve tested and tried some of the recipes and they were all delicious. I can’t wait to purchase it as soon as we move back home. Found it online for only $7.00!!
- I was so excited to find these trending market bags at Ikea!! They also make for a great summer beach bag. I couldn’t find the online link, so instead, I’ve linked an inexpensive Amazon one.
- Dreaming of this bathing-suite for my upcoming trip to Spain and Portugal
Well, friends, that concludes my first Bliss List! Would love to know what you think of this new ABW series, and if there was anything I included this month that you love too; tell me in the comments below.
Enjoy the rest of the month, and soak up every last second of summer while it lasts!
